Lodging West of Boston
Many of the hotels in Burlington, Waltham, and Newton are along the north-south highway, I-95. Framingham, Natick, and Newton offer hotels along the Massachusetts Turnpike, which leads directly into Boston. Quieter, historic towns in the area include Concord, Bedford, Lexington, and Arlington. The commute into Boston from most of the lodging options here average about 20 to 30 minutes.
Burlington is in a central area, just a short drive from attractions in Lexington and Concord and about 20 minutes outside of Boston.
About 30 minutes west of Boston, Concord is an attractive town replete with historical attractions. Rural Bedford is a small, residential town adjacent to Concord.
The Framingham/Natick area is a well-developed shopping region about 30 minutes west of Boston. The Mass Turnpike (I-90) runs directly from the area into Boston.
Lexington and Arlington are historic towns connected to Cambridge by Massachusetts Avenue and situated along the Minuteman bike trail.
Newton and Needham both have attractive business districts with fine shopping and restaurants and are about 30 minutes outside of Boston.
