In front of the Old City Hall in Boston, there is a statue of donkey. In 1828, Andrew Jackson established the Democratic Party with the slogan "Let the People Rule." His opponents labeled him a jackass. In front of the donkey, footsteps with little elephants engraved in them "stand in opposition." |
