Things to do in Boston, Cape Cod, Western Mass and other Massachusetts cities and towns. Events are planned in Plymouth on Thanksgiving weekend and tree lightings begin late in the month.

The film festivals seeks to show the best contemporary films from around the world on Jewish themes. Locations include the Boston Museum of Fine Arts in Boston and the Coolidge Corner Theatre in Brookline.

Creations by local artists and artisans will be on display and for sale throughout Bedford in studios, homes and the Old Town Hall.

Talented crafters from throughout New England participate in this juried, indoor show, in Sandwich, on Cape Cod.

The festivities include historical reenactments, vintage cars, and a food festival with the area's best chowders, soups and deserts.

The tree-lighting is proceded by a day of concerts and events, starting at 11 a.m. The tree lighting is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
November 27, 2009
The city of Springfield welcomes Santa on the day after Thanksgiving with a parade of giant balloons up to 75 feet high, including a "Cat in the Hat" balloon.
