Close to the tip of Cape Cod, Eastham fronts both Cape Cod Bay and the Atlantic Ocean. Part of Cape Cod National Seashore is located in the town, and includes Coast Guard Beach, Nauset Light Beach and Salt Pond Bay. Several town-run beaches, including First Encounter, line the Bay side shore. The Cape Cod Rail Trail, a 22-mile bike path, runs through Eastham.
