Boston and Cambridge GuideVisit Boston and you'll get a taste of both the old and the new. What is probably Boston's biggest attraction is the Freedom Trail - a 2.5-mile path of historic sites including the Old North Church, where a lantern once warned Paul Revere of the British's troops plans, and the Bunker Hill Monument in Charlestown. But there are more modern attractions as well. Take the elevator up to the top of the John Hancock tower and see Boston from an aerial view, or visit the pricey shops on Newbury Street or Copley Plaza. Neighboring Cambridge has some of the area's spiciest restaurants and bars, as well as the prestigious schools Harvard University and MIT.
